5 Best Rejected ‘Mob Vote’ Mobs Minecraft Should Add

Mob votes have been a popular (but now disliked) tradition in the Minecraft community that lets players take part in choosing the next mob coming to the game. However, only the winning mob is added to Minecraft, and the rejected ones are forgotten. With Minecraft now doing away with Mob Votes, I think it’s time the Mojang team digs into those old files of forgotten mobs and adds them to the game. Here are five of my favorite ‘Mob Vote’ rejected mobs that I wish to see in Minecraft.

Note:We are not including mobs that are confirmed to never be added to the game, as well as biome vote mobs as they are planned to arrive at some point.

1. Copper Golem

Copper Golem is one of the most unique mobs ever presented to the community in the Mob Votes, and it would’ve had two different functionalities. They could oxidize over time and eventuallyturn into statues for decoration. While they are still able to move, they would press copper buttons randomly and randomize any redstone machine.

Moreover, players could craft this mob themselves with some copper ingots. Copper Golem is quite a cute and interesting mob and hopefully, it’ll be added to the game one day. It lost the vote toAllay, and I’m not mad about it.

2. Moobloom

Moobloom would have been a completely aesthetic cow variant that has somebeautiful flowers growing on its back. This mob would’ve spawned in the flower forest biome and provided some movement to this wonderful place.

Even though this mob doesn’t offer practical uses, I’m in love with Moobloom and would want to see it in the game soon.

3. Iceologer

Iceologer is possibly the coolest (pun intended) mob that was rejected in Minecraft’s Mob Vote in 2020. It would have been a hostile illager that spawned on mountain tops. It would’veattacked players with clouds of flying icethat would offer even more challenges in addition to powder snow.

This could’ve been a great mob addition, as it would be very fun to use in mini-games and player-made adventure maps and challenges. However, it lost to the useless Glow Squid.

4. Tuff Golem

Losing to theSniffer, Tuff Golem is another golem variant that didn’t get added to Minecraft, at least not yet. It was a mob that stayed still and looked like a statue, but it could alsomove around and hold an item. They would have been perfect in player art exhibitions and provided subtle and occasional movement to any build.

5. Crab

The Crab is the most recent rejected mob that lost to theArmadilloin the 2023 Minecraft Mob Vote, and it would have been pretty useful for builders. It would have spawned inmangrove swampsand had one large claw. Players could’ve obtained this claw in a certain way that allowed them toplace blocks from further away, extending the player’s reach.

This concept was later added to the game in the form of an attribute command, so thecrab may never be addedto the game after all.
