The much-loved Kojima Productions and 505 Games title, Death Stranding Director’s Cut, is now available on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC as an Xbox Play Anywhere title. Released five years ago, Death Stranding has always been a game about connections, and the developers want to foster that spirit on Xbox.
To achieve this, Kojima Productions introduced the Social Strand System, along with several other capabilities; these would allow gamers worldwide to navigate the world of Death Stranding in unity.
For example, Death Stranding Director’s Cut’s unique online multiplayer mode lets players interact with others in-game. While you may never meet another player face-to-face, players can leave behind ladders, signs, and other items for others to find. Players can also give and receive “Likes” to one another to show appreciation for a helpful bridge or sign.
In addition to the Social Strand System, players can find structures and signs left behind by other players to help navigate the world.
Kojima Productions will also host regular virtual photography events in Death Stranding Director’s Cut, tasking players with capturing the best in-game shots based on a specific theme. The studio will pick the best shots each month and feature them in a showcase.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut includes the base game and a ton of additional content, such as new story missions, delivery equipment, and more.
If you’ve got an Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, or a PC capable of playing games, you can pick upDeath Stranding Director’s Cut now for just $19.99, down from its regular $39.99. And if you buy the game on Xbox, you’ll be able to play it on PC and vice versa, thanks to the Xbox Play Anywhere feature.
