It’s no secret that the Epic Games Store is making significant strides in the PC gaming space. Today, an article byGamesIndustrystated that to-date, the marketplace has generated $680 million in player spending. It’s also been used by over 108 million PC customers. The outlet said, “While much of that total can be accounted for by… Fortnite, the company noted that $251 million has been spent by players on third-party… games.”

Given the fact that the Epic Games Store launched in December 2018, this is pretty impressive. While this figure pales in comparison to Steam, it still demonstrates that there there are a lot of gamers using the Epic Games Store. This may be due to the constant promotions it runs.

For a while now, the Epic Games Store has been offering a free game every week. It turns out that this is quite popular so Epic Games is going to extend this promotion through 2020. It’s unclear if it’ll be extended beyond that, but we suspect it will because it attracts a lot of players to the Epic Games Store.

Do you use the Epic Games Store? What do you think of it? What features does it still need? Let us know.
