Recently, Bethesda released a massive Wastelanders update forFallout 76that adds companions, human characters, and more. However, it seems like even greater changes are afoot. During a recentRedditAsk Me Anything (AMA), Bethesda’s Jeff Gardiner said the following regarding pets.

Edible ones? I kid. Now that we have our companions system in the game, we are looking to add pets as well.

It’s unclear when pets will be added to the game, but we can’t wait until they are. They’ll probably be purchasable from the Atom Shop through microtransactions just like Sea of Thieves' pets. Let’s hope there’s a way to earn them in game. Usually, coveted items are so expensive in the Atom Shop that you have to spend actual currency to unlock them.

What sort of pets do you want to see? Let us know. We’re hoping that some massive beasts like the mutated Deathclaw are added to the game soon.

West Virginia is calling
