Genshin Impact 5.0 is adding a ton of new mechanics and also improving many of its base game systems. One of the new banner mechanics that will be implemented from version 5.0 is Capturing Radiance. What Is Capturing Radiance in Genshin Impact

Capturing Radiance is the new banner mechanic that will be implemented in Genshin Impact fromversion 5.0onwards. The Capturing Radiance is a mechanic toincrease the odds of getting the promotional 5-star characterfrom the limited banners. As Genshin Impact players already know, when pulling a 5-star character from the Gacha pool, there is a different gacha pull animation than the normal. When triggering the Capturing Radiance during a gacha pull, the normal 5-star pull animation will change into theCapturing Radiance gacha pull animation. This animation will tell players that they have definitely pulled the featured 5-star character from the banner.

Currently, the chances of the Capturing Radiance triggering during a 5-star character pull is not revealed.

How Capturing Radiance Affects 50/50 Pulls in Genshin Impact

According to the Genshin Impact 5.0 Livestream, theCapturing Radiance doesn’t affect the normal probability of 50/50 pullsin Genshin Impact. When the Capturing Radiance triggers, the pulled 5-star character would definitely be the featured character.

However, if Capturing Radiance doesn’t trigger during a 5-star character pull, then the normal 50/50 will take place, with players having a 50% chance of pulling the featured character.

Capturing Radiance only increases the chance of pulling the current promotional character when it’s a 50/50. It won’t affect other probabilities in the game.

So, the introduction of theCapturing Radiance should only be a benefit for Genshin players, increasing their odds of obtaining the featured 5-star character from the limited character banners.

Genshin Impact Weapon Banner Changes

Other than the Capturing Radiance, version 5.0 will also bring a much-needed change to the limited weapon banners in Genshin Impact. After the Genshin Impact 5.0 version, the Fate Point required in the Epitomized Path to pull the featured Weapon of choice will decrease.Players will now only need 1 Fate Point in the Epitomized Pathto guarantee the Weapon pull of their choice.

This is a massive change to the Weapon Banners, giving players a much better chance of pulling their favorite weapons while spending less Primogems.
