This test flight includes Singleplayer and Co-op Campaign content as well as Matchmaking, Custom Games, Theater, and Customization for both Halo 2 and Halo 2: Anniversary. On top of this, a brand new Challenges system is being tested in the flight that will task players with compelting certain objectives to earn experience rewards. A system like this is something players have been asking for for a long time now, so it’s great to see that it’s on its way. Halo: Reach Forge and Theater were alsooriginallyplanned for this flight, but it looks like tests for that content needed to be delayed for the time being.
If you want to have a chance at partaking in future flights, you’ll need to sign up for theHalo Insider Program. This program is free, and all you need to do is provide 343 Industries with your PC specs and the information it needs to roll out test builds to your Steam/Windows 10 Store account. We highly recommend signing up, as there’s no drawback to doing so. After all, you get to play Halo for free, andyou’re helping 343 Industries take care of pesky bugs in the process. It’s a no-brainer!
The Master Chief Collection, which includes all pre-Xbox One Halo shooter titles, is available on Xbox One, Steam, and the Windows 10 Store. When it releases in full, you’ll also be able to get Halo 2 and Halo 2: Anniversary as a standalone purchase.
