Microsoft Teams will introduce private moderators who can reply to individual attendees without displaying their replies to the other meeting participants.

In a recent entry to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, the Redmond-based tech giant says this capability should be helpful when dealing with sensitive questions, personal inquiries, or follow-up discussions unsuitable for the entire audience.

Here’swhat the entry says:

Allows moderators to answer questions from specific attendees without displaying the reply to the other participants. This capability can be helpful for sensitive questions, personal inquiries, or follow-up discussions that are not intended to be broadcast to the entire audience.

Starting in December 2024, private moderators in Microsoft Teams will impact all devices, including Android, Mac, iOS, and Desktops.

We don’t know yet if this capability will only be released on New Teams, which was recently made the platform’s default client. However, if it is,it might be worth migratingto the new version of the app.

In other news, the Teams unified experiencewas also recently released. It allows users to access their personal and professional accounts from the same client.
