Gears Tacticsis an upcoming strategy game from Splash Damage and The Coalition. Placing players in the boots of Gabe Diaz, father of Gears 5 protagonist Kait Diaz, Tactics gives an isometric twist to the usual Gears formula, placing players in charge of advancing squads similar to XCOM games.

As part of a wave of new previews, Xbox has shared several new screenshots from the game, showing some of the characters, the gameplay and even customization. You can take a look at some of the leading cast below (click or tap any of the images to enlarge them).

Then, we’ve got some shots of what gameplay on the ground looks like, as well as the skill tree for Gabe Diaz.

Gears Tactics is currently scheduled to be available on PC on April 28, through Xbox Game Pass for PC and Steam. It’s coming to Xbox at a later date.
