Microsoft has released Skype Insider 8.129, delivering a range of new features and fixes for Android, Windows, iOS, and Mac. The update is rolling out gradually, so it might take a day or two before it lands on your device.
On Android, Skype users will find that calls will no longer come through when Do Not Disturb is enabled. Meanwhile, the share screen button on Windowsnow triggers the expected sharing popup.
The new Skype Insider build also fixes a bugthat made OneAuth SSO accounts unusable on iOS after a reinstalland prevents child accounts from appearing in search by default on the same platform.
Pasting a join link into search on Macwill no longer open the lobby. The update also adds options to block users when receiving fraudulent translated conversation requests in the translator.
The iOS app will now show avatars in notifications, and the correct information text will appear when joining a TwinCam session on mobile.
Other fixes include improved font sizes for some users, ensuring that the login window’s license text is no longer cut off in some languages on Mac, and preventing a blank QR code screen fromshowing when clicking TwinCam during a call on mobile.
As usual, the update brings a range of improvements and bug fixes, such as enhanced performance when scrolling through a conversation with multiple media or files and a fix for the app not stopping screen sharing when the user stops sharing in a meeting.
You can grab your platform’s latest Skype Insider version from the app’s official website. You can join the Insider program from the app’s settings for early access to future updates.
The update follows the release of Skype Insider 8.128, which made the messengercompletely ad-free across platformsand added a new recent conversation section to the search interface on the desktop.
The new version of Microsoft Teams, made for virtual desktopsand built for Citrix Virtual Apps, VMware Horizon, and Windows 365 Cloud PCs, is now generally available.
