This comes as an expected move with many other public events also meeting the same fate. Twitch notes that they’re already working with vendors and attendees on issuing refunds, so hopefully people won’t be too terribly affected by this decision. With cases of the coronavirus continuing to grow globally, travel, especially to crowded events, isn’t a recommended course of action. While the news may be sad or frustrating for some, health and safety is always the priority.
