Microsoft has recently released a new Windows 10 C-release preview updateunder KB5043131 and Build 19045.4957. This update is a non-security optional update that brings several new features and improvements, including a change in the Start menu.
The user profile picture will now appear in different positions, and the menu’s left pane will have a new background colour.
If the patch solved some ofthe most annoying Windows 10 bugs for insiders, KB5043131 also continues this trend of fixing issues, including a bug related to surround sound technology. Playback of some media might have stopped when using specific surround sound technology.
However, this update also has several known issues. For instance, users might be unable to change their account profile picture after installing the update. Microsoft is working on a resolution for this issue.
KB5043131can be downloaded manually from the Microsoft Update Catalog website. The official support article contains the full changelog and a list of known issues.
The company has also released the Windows Update opt-in notifications, and Microsoft Intune features for the Windows Insider Program.
