In the latest Xbox Partner Preview for October 2024, Xbox showcased many new titles set to arrive on the Xbox Series X and S consoles, Windows PC, and Game Pass.

Among the games featured in the showcase were new expansions for Remedy’s Alan Wake 2, new indie darlings, and a new project from the creators of Control.

Alan Wake 2: The Lake House Expansion – Gameplay Showcase

Remedy returned to the Xbox Partner Preview stage in October 2024 to dive into the second expansion for Alan Wake 2, titled The Lake House. The new content will follow the story of a Federal Bureau of Control agent as they investigate a new area of the Oldest House. It’s set to release on Xbox Series X|S and PC on October 22.

Animal Well – Available Now

One of two surprise releases during the show, Animal Well, is now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC. The game sees players navigating an alien world as astronauts, platforming and solving puzzles to find their lost crew.

Blindfire – Available Now in Game Preview

Blindfire is a first-person shooter set entirely in darkness, with players using echolocation and weapons to navigate and take down enemies. It’s now available in Game Preview on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC.

Cronos: The New Dawn – Announced

Cronos: The New Dawn is the latest project from Bloober Team, the studio behind games like The Medium and Blair Witch. A third-person survival horror game, Cronos is set in two different periods — 1980s Poland and a post-apocalyptic future.

Edens Zero – Announced

Based on the manga and anime of the same name, Edens Zero is a third-person action game from Koch Media that will be released in 2025 for Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Eternal Strands – Announced for Game Pass

Eternal Strands, a third-person action RPG in which players can combine different magic spells for exciting effects, is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC in early 2025. It’ll also be available on day one on Game Pass.

FBC: Firebreak – Announced

FBC: Firebreak is a new game set in the world of Control, but with a twist — it’s a cooperative multiplayer game. In Firebreak, players will take on the roles of FBC agents with unique abilities and weapons as they work together to contain Altered World Events. The game will be available on Game Pass on day one of its 2025 release for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

The Legend of Baboo – Announced

The Legend of Baboo is a new open-world action-adventure game from developers at Dead Mage and 505 Games. As the child of a traveling merchant, players will explore an archipelago overrun with pirates, ancient warriors, and dangerous creatures alongside their loyal dog, Baboo. The game is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC in 2025.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii – New Gameplay, Earlier Release Date

The latest game from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio (Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Judgment), Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, is now launching on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on February 21, 2025 — a few months earlier than previously announced. The game will also be available on day one on Game Pass.

Mistfall Hunter – Announced, Closed Beta Sign-Up Available

Mistfall Hunter, from Neon Giant (The Ascent), is a new Soulslike game featuring a unique world, a cast of characters, and many challenging enemies to take down. You can sign up for a closed beta now.

Mouse: P.I. For Hire – Announced

Developed by 2BIGo, Mouse: P.I. For Hire is a first-person shooter set in a world of anthropomorphic animals. You’ll play as a mouse detective, solving crimes and taking down criminals using a variety of weapons and gadgets. The game is coming to Xbox Series X|S in 2025.

Phasmophobia – Announced for Xbox

Co-op ghost-hunting game Phasmophobia is coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on October 29. If you’re unfamiliar, Phasmophobia has players investigating haunted locations, collecting evidence of paranormal activity, and attempting to escape the clutches of angry spirits.

Subnautica 2 – Announced for Early Access

Subnautica developer Unknown Worlds Entertainment has announced Subnautica 2, a sequel to the critically acclaimed underwater survival game. The game will launch in early access in 2025 and eventually come to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Wheel World – Announced, Coming to Game Pass

Wheel World — previously known as Ghost Bike — is a new game from developer 34BigThings (Redout) coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC in 2025. The game, available on day one on Game Pass, is a relaxing, open-world bike racing game set across two distinct worlds.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers – New Look, Coming to Game Pass

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, an action RPG from Leenzee Games, takes place in a world where technology meets Chinese mythology. Players will explore small towns, ancient temples, and the wilderness while fighting supernatural threats. The game will be available on Game Pass on day one in 2025 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
